Helping Brazil


Released in 1986 , the “Criança Esperança” project encouraged the society to discuss about the situation of children and young Brazilians.
By disclosing the “Declaração Universal dos Direitos da Criança”the project contributed for the inclusion of 277 article in the Constitution of 1988 , that guarantees the rights of Brazilian children.Two years later , this article gave rise to “Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente.”
Recognized for ONU like international model, the “Criança Esperança”changes lives.During two months , all the programming of “Rede Globo” joins to present subjects related to the project , doing special reports and tables ,beyond specif project ,in order to report on the application of funds raised.
In 2010 the “Crinça Esperança “ complete 25 years. Until now , more than 200 million reais in donations were invested in all the Brazil in over 5 thousand social projects. The donations ensures the rights over 4 million childrens and teenagers, helps to reduce the mortality and the child labor, to combat the sexual exploitation of boys and girls and to prepare low-income youth for the labor market.
The “Criança Esperança’ is a project of “Rede Globo” in partnership with UNESCO , that since 2004, is responsible for selection, technical and financial monitoring of projects
